Our client, an Emerging Markets Hedge Fund, is looking to hire a Vice President of Business Development to help establish its presence in New York and Europe. They are a billion dollar firm and have more than a ten year track record with strong results. They are looking for someone to come in and handle Business Development and Investor Relations in the US. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently to establish a marketing plan targeting US and International Private Banks, Endowments, Family Offices, Pension Funds, Alternative Investment Funds, and Fund of Funds. A strong track record of success helping raise capital and a demonstrated understanding of Latin American emerging markets are required. This is a brand new function for an already established New York office, so the Business Development VP will need to be the driving force behind establishing the firm’s identity in these markets. A rolodex of contacts will be a major factor in the success of this function. The firm understands the difficulty of this role and will craft a generous compensation package for the candidate who can come in and position them to grow their assets and establish their brand in these markets.
