1. Job description As General Lending Transaction Manager, you are responsible for the credit files of Corporate Clients Brussels assigned to you. You direct the structuring of new transactions and/or limits for General Lending Products, write and prepare the credit applications and manage the approval process. You will prepare annual reviews and monitor existing transactions, handling waivers and modifications. You will strive for high quality credit packages to be sent towards the Decision-making Authorities in Brussels and Amsterdam. 2. Responsibilities As General Lending Transaction Manager, your main responsibilities will be: • collection and analysis of annual accounts of clients assigned to you and calculation of the rating of companies according to the Basel-principles • preparation of new lending proposals, renewal requests and reviews for corporate clients • single point of contact for Risk Management and the management of the credit approval process • follow-up of lending decisions • negotiations with clients as to General Lending products 3. Organisational context International Wholesale is responsible for quality and depth of client relationship and overall financial performance and risks of ING. Within Wholesale, General Lending Products was established as a separate product group assisting the Relationship Managers of Corporate Clients with the General Lending products for corporate clients, which include Belgian and foreign multinationals as well as their subsidiaries. 4. Skills and experience Education level: You should have a higher degree with an economical background. Some prior credit experience would be an advantage. Information technology and language skills: • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, internet and PowerPoint. • English, French, Dutch: good knowledge is a must • A good knowledge of a 4th language is a plus. 5. Personal profile • Effective easiness to work with figures ; good analytical skills • Effective oral and written communication skills • Time management skills and ability to work to deadlines • The ability to balance a busy workload and prioritise effectively • Ability to work independently • Good levels of initiative and common sense • Good interpersonal skills are essential – as continuous liaison with colleagues and client contact will form part of the role.
