Background Our client is undertaking a significant transformation of its Global Banking & Markets operations in Asia Pacific. This growth is backed by a significant change budget to create new businesses and develop existing ones. To deliver this programme of change, Operations in Asia Pacific is looking for a team who are fully accountable for the front to back delivery of change across the broad spectrum of products which includes Derivatives, Securitisation, Treasury and Banking Operations. The role is regional in nature covering 5 countries in Asia Pacific. The change management function is very delivery orientated and comprises of a strong community of professionals that acts as the primary interface between Global IT and Operations ensuring both large and medium scale projects are delivered on time and within budget. The function also is responsible for proposing business cases and obtaining budget to run Operations led projects. The change management role will also require to work with the Business or Front Office closely and to translate the requirement into Ops project and requirements. Hence, business analysis skill is essential. Collaboration with both Global Change Management and Global Operations colleagues is key to ensuring that systems and processes reflect both global and local requirements. This role requires a strong individual with several years experience of challenging, designing, managing and delivering change programmes, who is able to establish close working relationships across Asia Pacific and London with colleagues in both Operations and other Support teams (IT & Finance). Responsibilities • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within stated budget • Identify, structure and drive initiatives, projects or a programme of work with clear deliverables and benefits • Understand, define and deliver on set targets, deadlines and deliverables • Manage the change associated with significant new product introductions from the front office • Identify project risks, assess and quantify their impact, and develop actions or plans that mitigate them • Constructively challenge processes, approaches and attitudes where this will result in improvement or value to Operations Production, or bring ideas for improvements in terms of both resource and project management • Solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated) • Work well in a team in a pressurised environment where not all structures, processes and hierarchies are clearly formulated or are subject to rapid change Requirements • Detailed knowledge of operational banking systems • Detailed knowledge of the front to back Operations process • Solid experience of using Change Management tools and processes Languages • Excellent command of spoken and written English Location • Hong Kong
