Individual will be a senior member of the benchmark creation and maintenance team. He/she will assist the group interpreting and setting up new custom benchmarks; research market data queries & fully understanding index characteristics; and validating the monthly benchmark collection process.
This person is expected to quickly learn and master the performance system (Eagle PACE); he/she will work close to technology enhancing the system and developing new reports and procedures. This individual will therefore be able to speak to and understand technical concepts related to database structure and code developing. Additionally this person will be assigned projects by senior staff and will be expected to work independently under minor supervision.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Report to Supervisor of the Systems & Data Management while interacting with Analytics, Investment Support and Client Services staff
Gather and validate market data
Interpret and setup custom benchmark calculations
Work with analytics group to develop new custom benchmark methodologies
Maintain data integrity enforcing an exception-based procedure
Perform performance and statistical analysis using existing tools. Be able to recreate results for validation and enhancement purposes
Understand overall responsibilities of the Performance Group including GIPS Compositing, Systems & Data Management and Tactical Analysis
Work with technology to:
Enhance current process work flow process
Develop and validate new reports
Analyze and document new business initiatives with sufficient detail and clarity
Support various existing access databases. Enhance and develop additional modules using Microsoft Visual Basic.
Master and support several of the proprietary and vendor related applications.
Gain good understanding of the performance system’s complex architecture
Perform user acceptance testing and validation for application upgrades
Effective communication to all levels within the organization
competencies:
Three plus years of related experience in the financial services industry
Basic knowledge of performance calculations and related analytical calculations
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Good organizational skills
Passed CFA Level One and is interested in pursuing CIPM designation
Financial analysis experience is a plus
Knowledge using and Developing MS Access databases is required.
Knowledge of various data systems including: Bloomberg, Lehman Live/Point, MSCI, Barclays and Yieldbook
Experience coordinating projects
Knowledge of PACE and/or other performance systems is desired
