Our market leading client is looking for a best of breed Macroeconomist with an exceptional academic background to join their highly respected business. Energy industry experience is of course an advantage but not essential. A serious commitment to excellence will be key to your success.

A truly outstanding job with an exceptionally successful client in either Edinburgh or London. A passion for economics and macroeconomic forecasting is a must.

As a global leader in invaluable commercial analysis and strategic advice to the worlds leading Energy companies, this business has firmly established its reputation built on the provision of innovative research products and consultancy advice, leveraging a broad platform of deep market knowledge.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Energy Demand teams across Upstream, Oils, Coal, Gas and Power services in the development of global quantitative macroeconomic models and support products.

You will be responsible for analysis and reporting on long-term energy demand trends, compiling robust and concise views on the quantitative effect of global and regional economic activity.

You must be a naturally motivated and very successful economist with a keen understanding and industry experience in modelling the economies of developing markets. You will have exceptional problem solving, analytical and communication skills honed in a client facing role.

This opportunity will play a key role in ensuring consistency and alignment of macroeconomic forecasts, so you must have a deep understanding and experience in quantifying economic activity across diverse markets and how this impacts demand trends and discontinuities across the energy value chain.

If you are serious about making the right career move and truly feel that this opportunity  is right for you, then please do not hesitate to get in touch for an informal but confidential discussion.
