On behalf of our client we are seeking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join their elite team. This is a permanent position, and an excellent opportunity to join one of Cayman’s leading companies providing Structured Finance Services.
Responsibilities:
Provide specialist legal and administrative support to the Deputy Solicitor General, Assistant Solicitor General and Civil Crown Counsel in Civil and International matters
Undertake complex legal work
Qualifications:
Education to G.C.E. A’ Level standard with O’ Level passes in English Language or equivalent and ideally, a Paralegal or Legal Executive qualification or equivalent
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules and the democratic political process
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English Language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules and composition and grammar
Experience in legal secretarial work and the preparation of civil litigation bundles is essential
At minimum should have at least three years clerical and administrative experience
