Our client is one of the most respected, leading Australian Financial Services Institutions in the country providing a comprehensive and integrated range of Financial Products and Services. There has been an opening for a Quality Manager to support business unit professionals.
This fixed term contract (expected to be reviewed in May 2009) can offer you the opportunity to gain fantastic experience in this dynamic, expanding organisation whilst having the potential of going permanent at the end of the contract.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, your key responsibilities will include:
Coaching
Mentoring
Developing business unit professionals
Using regional tools, methods and training in Business Process Re-engineering.
As part of this leadership role you will also be required to undertake maturity assessments and convey these updates across the region via a monthly newsletter.
Your ability to engage with people will assist you with monthly and quarterly reporting on regional progress. Additionally, a strong focus of your role will be to identify future black belt leaders to ensure these people are trained to succeed. As this role is supporting business unit professionals, we are looking for someone who is highly customer focused, engaging and has strong stakeholder management skills.
The successful candidate will have four years hands on experience in six sigma and lean methodology. You will hold a black belt certificate and be degree qualified in a related field i.e. Finance, Manufacturing or Process Engineering. A management role in the financial services industry along with experience using Process Mapping Tools would be preferred. Excellent relationship management and communication skills are essential and will only assist in your long-term success for career development and permanent employment opportunities.
