Global Hedge Fund in New York is seeking a Junior Software Developer possessing 2-6 years of software development experience to join a team supporting a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment. In addition to strong programming skills, candidate must demonstrate a high degree of motivation. Exposure to fixed income markets is a plus but not required. Responsibilities include developing applications to be used in all business areas; trading, risk management, operations, etc. Other areas of focus will include development of libraries and infrastructure for working with C++ models, database programming and management, Excel/VBA interface development, Perl utilities, messaging layers, real time data feed client/server applications, and automated trading interfaces. This position will provide exposure to many different aspects of the fixed income markets and the hedge fund business model.
