Reporting directly to the Portfolio Managers, Asia-Pacific and the Director and Portfolio Manager, North America, the incumbents will carry out financial, economic and sector studies, summarize information, forecast earnings and prospects, maintain relationships with the financial sector and assist the team with investment projects and portfolio management. As Financial Analyst, North America / Financial Analyst, Asia-Pacific, you will be expected to: • Carry out financial, economic, and sector analysis of companies, produce analysis of research and studies, forecast earnings and prospects, and make investment recommendations. • Identify investment opportunities based on financial analysis of publicly traded securities; analyze the real estate sector by developing valuations of real estate companies based on documentation submitted and financial reports, on-site visits and meetings with managers, as well as external audit involving various economic agents. • Develop and use databases, spreadsheets and forecasting models for the preparation of research reports. • Put in place initiatives and projects to improve the effectiveness of portfolio management procedures and systems. • Work with the Caisse’s subsidiaries and establish relationships with the business community to promote the organization’s services and ensure a constant presence in the real estate sector. • Develop in-depth real estate expertise and knowledge and keep pace with changes and innovations in the industry. • Ensure constant communication of knowledge within the team. Who we are looking for: To be considered for the position of Financial Analyst, North America / Financial Analyst, Asia-Pacific the qualified individual will have: • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline • A master’s degree in a relevant discipline would be an important asset • At least three or four years of relevant experience • Professional finance designation, CFA or FRM would be an asset • Excellent mastery of financial modelling for valuation of publicly traded companies • Good spoken and written English and French • Knowledge of the real estate sector in an international context or experience on foreign investment projects • Willingness to travel outside the country What’s on offer: A front office investment analyst role with a prestigious asset manager, in one of its most dynamic and cutting-edge divisions.
