Our client is one of the biggest banks in the UK based on market capitalisation. London is the Head Office and over the last 3-4 years the bank has doubled in size, especially wholesale banking which is growing at 30% per annum. The first role may be based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai or London and the second one is Singapore-based.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage audit assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the controls in operation in the banking business;
• Contribute to an increased awareness in the business of the management of risk and the importance of business controls and working practices;
• Contribute to the development of the internal audit methodology and working practices.
• Experience (whether internal or external) must be with wholesale banks NOT companies;
• Travel around the franchise must be expected: can be 50%;
• We are not looking for "job-hoppers": periods of several years in each job are essential

1: Product Champion, Transactional Banking:

Requirements:

• An accounting or internal audit qualification; or
  
• Product Champion, Transaction Banking should have worked in audit, product development, sales, relationship management or strategy in custody, trade finance or cash management, preferably for a wholesale bank;
• The applicants should have signicant understanding of recent developments in internal auditing and  corporate governanace, particularly as they relate to the banking sector;
• Teamwork: be an effective team player who is able to work both in a multicultural team environment as well as independently;
• For the Product Champion, 6+ years experience in custody, cash or trade finance are essential.

2:  Qualified accountant to join Capital Markets/Equities/Principal Finance internal audit team. 

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

•    ACA/CPA Big 4 preferred with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience;
•    Internal Audit or possibly relevant business experience in banking environment;
•    Relevant Product Knowledge of Loan Syndications, Fixed Income Origination and capital markets trading products.



Remuneration:

1) Product Champion: SGD162-216,000 (£71,500-£95,400)+ bonus + benefits.

2) Qualified accountant to join Capital Markets/Equities/Principal Finance internal audit team: around SGD110,000 base + plus discretionary bonus + benefits. .
