BlackRock Trading Operations group is responsible for the orderly confirmation and settlement of BlackRock’s daily trading volume. The Trading Operations Group serves as a liaison between the dealer community and the Portfolio Management Group. The Custody Operations Group serves as a liaison between client’s custodian banks and Portfolio Management Group. Both operations groups assist the Account Managers to accomplish client-goals. The Operations process is highly automated and utilizes many of BlackRock’s proprietary Trading Systems.

Blackrock Trading Operations: Trade Support Group

A Trade Support Analyst in Trading Operations responsibilities include:

· Confirming trades with dealers using BlackRock’s fully-integrated trading system.

· Assisting portfolio management professionals in the financing of BlackRock’s portfolios.

· Understanding the features of the different securities across all sectors of the cash management and fixed income market including: treasuries, mortgages, municipals, corporates, commercial paper, and tri-party repo, swaps, futures & FX.

· Providing operational support to BlackRock’s portfolio management professionals including reconciling trade discrepancies with dealer sales desks.

· Overseeing and updating forward-settling trades and new issues ensuring that all trades settle on correct money.

· Playing an integral role in improving BlackRock’s trading systems and the trade process.

· Working with vendors and dealers to enhance the transmission of data to outside sources such as broker/dealers.

· Using problem-solving skills combined with communication skills to respond to time-sensitive trade issues.

Ideal Candidate:

· In-depth knowledge of cash management and fixed income securities is essential.

· Candidate must be familiar with the various trading attributes of fixed income securities and their corresponding operational demands.

· Outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated understanding of fixed income securities.

· Possesses strong computer skills and excellent communications skills.

· Works well as part of a team.

· Enjoys a fast-paced, high volume, and high-intensity work environment.

· Candidate must be multi-task orientated and able to absorb information across a broad spectrum of products.

· Has an entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to take on additional responsibility quickly.
