As a Systems Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and support both the Enterprise and Voyager Fundamental Databases/applications. In this capacity, you will be fully engaged in providing application support, and assisting the Content and Operations groups with data questions and analysis. You will help drive the design and implementation of infrastructure changes. You will work as a team player, sharing tasks and responsibilities for goals and objectives of the whole team. You will work closely with content managers, business analysts, system architects, technical operations and quality assurance to ensure that our systems meet stringent design standards, ensure optimal performance, meet the business need and are scalable, reliable and easy to support. - Participate in the design, development, testing, and documenting of Infrastructure/Business projects
- Provide global hardware/application support, day to day contact for TechOps interactions.
- Respond to client data queries in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor and manage the Enterprise daily/weekly/monthly production cycles.
- May provide 24 hour on-call support.
- Monitoring of day to day data workflows.
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelors degree in a Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent
- Knowledge of SQL and relational DBMS, ORACLE desired.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ desirable.
- Knowledge of Windows essential/Unix desirable.
- Proven analytic and problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, discipline and attention to detail.
- Ability to work from broad requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure.
- Financial background a strong plus.
- Ability to work with others within a globally distributed team environment.
