COMPUTER FORENSICS & INVESTIGATIONS - MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Computer Forensics & Investigations Manager at Grant Thornton LLP you will be responsible for all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients. In this hands-on position you will:
• Provide computer forensic services including digital evidence preservation, analysis, data recovery, tape recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination. • Work closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development. • Develop a project vision and set challenging personal and client service team goals. • Serve as a business advisor to an assigned group of clients in a wide variety of industries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure that evidence collection methods are conducted, managed, and archived in a manner consistent to maintain preservation and protection of data and evidence. • The identification, acquisition, recovery, cleansing, mining, and securitization of large sets of electronically stored data (ESD). • Manage and perform comprehensive technical analyses and interpret computer-related evidence such as e-mail, accounting software, various databases, and information stored on electronic devices using specially designed forensic software and hardware. • Ensure all lab hardware and software are verified and validated as required by the Federal Rules of Evidence. • Plan, manage, and complete electronic discovery, computer forensic investigations, and related services for large data sets. • Understand and manage firm risk on projects and proposals. • Provide technology advisory services to enhance engagements. • Assess and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues. Skills EXCELLENT CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. • Five to seven+ years of progressive experience in electronic discovery, computer forensics and investigations. • Knowledge of computer forensic tools, methodologies, and protocols (e.g., EnCase, FTK, ACL). • Demonstrated understanding of ESD evidence preservation and chain of custody rules. • Knowledge of accounting, auditing, finance and economics related to ESD acquisition and analysis. • Expertise in UNIX/Linus and Windows operating systems, PC hardware and networking, and network security hardware and software. • Strong experience in staff and investigative management in an integrated client service team. • Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. • Computer expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and an understanding of the impact of technology.
Preferred:
• Advanced degree. • CISA, CISM, CISSP, CFE, CPA, or CMA certification/license. • Technology advisory experience. • Practice development experience.
