This tier one investment bank is currently looking for an experienced Oil and Coal specialist with detailed experience of Vessel / Shipping operations and scheduling. Based on the trading floor this physical logistics team are responsible for supporting the Oil and Coal business focusing on spot and time chartering. As a senior member of the team you would be expected to cover all aspects of Vessel operations and scheduling, liaising heavily with traders regarding all requirements for ships and chartering appropriate vessels. Responsibilities will also include managing demurrage calculations and settlements, updating sales and trading regarding market data and ongoing project initiatives ranging from process enhancements to facilitating business in new markets. Due to the complex nature of the business the team are looking for someone with 5 years+ experience of working in a Vessel / Shipping Operator or Scheduling role covering Oil and Coal markets and very comfortable working with ship brokers and agents. As well as strong technical and analytical skills it is expected you will be highly motivated with a very value added & proactive approach to day to day business. Excellent communication skills are essential and you should be well organised and capable of making important decisions in a fast paced and time sensitive environment.
