PIMCO seeks an Investment Professional position on the PIMCO equity (StocksPLUS) product management team covering an increasing variety of different portable alpha equity and equity market neutral strategies.

PIMCO is organized into three areas: Portfolio Management, Account Management, and Business Management. Portfolio Managers are primarily responsible for market research, portfolio strategy and trade execution. Account Managers are responsible for client servicing and for monitoring investment portfolios for compliance with client objectives and strategy. PIMCO's Business Management focuses on establishing strategic initiatives, developing firm-wide technology and analytics, overseeing compliance and regulatory function, and providing timely record keeping and investment support. THE ROLE

An Investment Professional position on the PIMCO equity (StocksPLUS) product management team covering an increasing variety of different portable alpha equity and equity market neutral strategies currently including but not limited to:

? Equity Markets: US, US small cap, Europe, UK, Japan, Global, International and the Emerging Markets ? Other Strategies: long/short market neutral equity ? Sources of Alpha: absolute return strategies, enhanced cash, unconstrained fixed income, global fixed income, long duration fixed income, enhanced fundamental indexing ? Vehicles: separately managed accounts, open and closed end mutual funds, private funds

As of December 31, 2007 the StocksPLUS product line had $36 Billion in assets under management globally.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in product management, product positioning, product evaluation, portfolio management, trading, sales, marketing and/or new product development in one or more of the following areas: portable alpha, enhanced equity indexing, equity derivatives, active equity or equity hedge fund management.

Major Responsibilities (after appropriate training and development period):

• Work with Product Management team to lead most aspects of product specific business management for the firm, including product positioning across PIMCO’s global distribution network, vehicle design and construction, and pricing.

• Identify new business development opportunities (i.e. investors, asset pools, channels), drive marketing/sales campaigns, conduct finals presentations, and close business.

• Serve as a product expert at client meetings, prospective client meetings (including finals presentations), consultant meetings and industry conferences

• Develop and maintain a variety of different types of materials to support new business development, existing business and other specific product management initiatives and responsibilities

• Participate in product specific investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers in addition to the firm’s general macroeconomic forecasting process

• Provide current insight regarding the firm and product specific investment philosophy, process, strategy, performance and other relevant information directly or indirectly to clients, prospective clients and consultants

• Perform detailed quantitative analysis

• Work with internal and external groups on matters related to product specific private and public commingled funds

• Serve as a product specific contacts for clients, prospective clients and consultants

• Work with Portfolio Managers and/or other Professionals, as applicable, on new product development

• Utilize the firm’s internal resources to respond to client, prospective client and consultant product specific requests for information and other inquiries in a timely manner

Key Relationships:

• Product Management team, including members of the StocksPLUS and also the absolute return, enhanced cash, liability driven investing (LDI) and tax efficient Product Management teams.

• PIMCO Portfolio Managers and Account Managers (Client Service, Consultant Relations, Marketing)

• Institutional clients and prospective clients

• Investment management consultants in conjunction with the PIMCO Consultant Relations Group

• External industry specialists

QUALIFICATIONS

• Well organized, high energy level/self starter, must work well in a team environment

• Communication skills to work within the firm’s demanding and highly focused environment, as well as with external clients, prospective clients and consultants

• Clear commitment to PIMCO’s culture, values and approach

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Ability to articulate clear ideas/strategies both verbally and in writing

• Solutions-driven individual with an ability to build and drive forwards business and client related issues

• High level of interest in macroeconomic and business cycle analysis

• Enthusiasm for the financial markets and investment management with specific knowledge re: fixed-income markets and/or equity derivatives markets preferred

• Aptitude for public speaking in both formal and informal settings in front of a variety of different types and sizes of audiences

• Ability to multi-task and otherwise successfully meet a multitude of competing demands often under significant time pressure

Education

• MBA/advanced degree from a top tier, well recognized school and/or directly relevant industry experience

• CFA Charter preferred
