Our client is a multinational investment bank. They are currently looking for a manager who will supervise the APAC Prime Brokerage Corporate Action team within Asset Servicing Group covering corporate action for the banks Prime Brokerage, Synthetic Equity Swap and ELN client base.
The incumbent will primarily be responsible for the processing of all APAC market corporate actions for Prime brokerage related products. Also, to do some hands-on work and stay very close to the team, from processing, check diaries set-up to instruction release, etc.
Key daily responsibilities as follows:
Building & Maintaining Relationships with the account management team and internal / external clients
Data capture – Providing hedge fund clients and front office with timely and accurate event notifications
Processing – Event reconciliation, soliciting client elections for submission to our agent network within specified time frames
Processing – Reflecting timely and correct entitlements on the clients portfolio
Controls – Depot and nostro reconciliation
Client service – Pre-empting and resolving daily client enquiries related to corporate action, work with client service group to address client issues
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Good experience in securities broking operations
Experience in corporate action field in the Asian markets, additional Euro & US market is would be advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills with strong analytical abilities
Good attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Proactive in problem solving
Supervisory skills
Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
Excellent negotiating skills required and experience of managing difficult internal and external relationships.
Ability to prioritise tasks with similar importance and deadlines.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
5+ years asset servicing experience weighted largely towards corporate action event processing / management. Coupled with people management experience.
Knowledge of Prime Brokerage related Equity products.
