We represent a world class law firm with a high reputation in the industry both regionally and globally.They specialize in professional legal services within financial markets including asset and project financing, capital markets and commercial and private trusts.
With their current expansion in the Asia Pacific region, they are seeking a high caliber Senior Accountant to work at their office located in Central.
Working closely with the Managing Partners, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions which include overseeing the billing matters, accounts payable and month end closing. You will supervise a team of accounting staff to prepare the budgeting, account reconciliations and month end reporting. Working closely with lawyers, you will provide advice on billing matters for Work In Progress and unpaid bills. Due to the nature of this job, you will be a key contact for major financial matters as well as overseeing the office management issues. Last, but not the least, you will participate in some ad hoc projects which included HR administration.
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor degree in accounting or related discipline with 4 to 6 years of commercial accounting experience, preferably in the professional service industry such as a law firm. You must be a self starter, able to develop internal client relationships with lawyers and the finance team. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese are the prerequisite as you will interact with internal clients and external third parties frequently.
