Senior Manager: Enterprise Applications –M&A Practitioner

Enterprise Applications (EA) is an exciting and thriving area of our Consulting business.  The EA practice has a unique blend of business and technical skills which is able to perform advisory, design, assurance and implementation services to our enviable client base.  The practice operates across 5 business areas including Finance, HR, Customer, Operations and Strategy.  We have a portfolio of implementation propositions that cover SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and Salesforce.com software applications.  EA is able to deliver solutions using these applications to enable business transformation and sustainable growth.

 

 

Deloitte is currently seeking Senior Managers, with extensive experience of the consequences of M&A activity on the ICT landscape to take an active role in the growth of this highly successful team.  Whilst developing your career alongside Partners within EA, you will have the opportunity to invest back into the organisation and contribute by being a key part of the senior management group. 

 

  

As a Senior Manager within EA your client facing / project responsibilities will include:

 

  •  Managing and delivering complex technology enabled business transformation engagements, feasibility studies, systems selections etc.
  • Collaborating with clients and offering solutions to business problems.
  •  Managing key client stakeholders.
  • Understanding and anticipating client needs based on a strong understanding of their business.
  • Guiding teams in selecting and applying the most appropriate tools, techniques and approaches to deliver client work.
  • Supporting the career development of the project team by setting clear objectives and providing performance feedback.

 

 

 

In addition to client facing / project responsibilities you will also contribute to the firm’s growth and development in the following ways:

 

  • Engagement Management:  managing engagement risk, project economics including  planning and budgeting, managing accounts receivable, defining deliverable content, ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions from senior client management;

 

  • Business Development: developing a sales pipeline and selling the firms propositions by utilising established relationships within potential clients, directing the development of sales proposals, leading negotiations, determining sales messages and, leading oral presentations; 

 

  • Practice Development & Eminence: developing solutions, methodologies and communities of interest, including development of 'thoughtware' and 'point-of-view' documents, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals;

 

  • People Development: performing the role of coach and/or mentor, providing input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities. 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • In-depth knowledge of the implications of Mergers & Acquisitions on the EA landscape;
  • Experience of Mergers or carve-outs in one or more of the following industry areas: Financial Services (FS); Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT); FMCG, Consumer Business, or Energy & Utilities Services;
  • Ability to exploit an established network of external contacts that can be leveraged in the sales process for Post Merger activities as well as Due Diligence projects;
  • Evidence of significant M&A delivery with the major Private Equity houses and other stakeholders;
  • Evidence of strong, long term client relationships;
  • Deep knowledge of one of the following business areas: finance, human resources, operations or customer.  Alternatively, strong technical skills in either Oracle or SAP;
  • Experience managing and motivating large multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Consulting or Corporate Finance experience is essential;
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree or equivalent;
  • Full mobility to travel;
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
