LaCrosse Global Fund Services (LaCrosse), an independently managed subsidiary of Cargill, provides operations, middle-office, and administration services to hedge funds. With close to 300 employees in 10 global office locations, LaCrosse offers customized services that allow fund managers to save time, cut costs, improve reporting and enhance investor confidence so that they can focus on the markets and on financial performance. These services cover everything "after the trade."
The Trading Data Management Group (TDM) has responsibility to set up and maintain foundation data and other tables in the enterprise systems used globally by the LaCrosse Global Fund Services. This ensures accuracy, consistency and control of information. The TDM Financial Systems Analyst position is primarily responsible for setup and maintenance of foundation data (i.e. products, agents, legal entities, calendars, schedules, etc.). In addition the group is responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring of data interfaces.
Principal Accountabilities:
45% Research, analyze and capture critical information for the proper completion of trading and accounting foundation data. Reviewing information that may be sourced from a number of locations including websites, other external resources (i.e. Bloomberg), trade confirmations and through interaction with our global customer base.
20% Complete ad hoc projects as required - i.e. test enhancements to systems that impact foundation data.
15% Answer the Trading Data Management Help Line and responding to email requests sent to group.
15% Monitor transmission of foundation data, reconciliation of inventory and accounting systems data (IRIS and Geneva). Analyze any error messages to determine cause & solution.
5% Periodic reviews of LaCrosse data to ensure dissolutions, mergers and inactivations are captured in a timely fashion.
Skills
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferably in Accounting, Economics, Finance or International Business, or equivalent business experience.
At least 1 year industry business experience or equivalent foundation data experience.
Detail-oriented and logical, analytical problem solving skills.
Ability to handle adverse situations and/or tight time deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Ability to assist in the analysis of system output to determine root data issues and causes.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with multiple users, at all levels of the organization.
Ability to use sound judgment when making decisions, referring to Manager when appropriate.
Ability to proficiently work in multiple systems consecutively
Ability to handle multiple priorities in an environment that has substantial fluctuations in volume.
