A minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience in software engineering and quality assurance with a minimum of 5 years in leading and managing quality assurance as a function in a large scale IT organization. Job Responsibilities: • Project manage all QA engagements including reporting to the business, assessing delivery risks, guiding the development team on QA builds and managing the plan. • Manage resource allocation, finance and program roadmap for the QA function that has a team size of 20. • Lead system testing efforts across the group's IT product suite. • Implement quality assurance acceptance criteria across products. • Conduct gap analysis of the SDLC as it relates to firm standard processes. • Partner with development management to improve productivity of development efforts. • Partner with project managers to enhance the requirements management process. • Liaison with engineering groups to analyze and mitigate gaps in environment planning. • Liaison with application support groups to improve efficiency of turnover processes. • Implement a metrics program to measure productivity and efficiency across the SDLC. • Standardize UAT process, entry and exit criteria. • Lead process improvement formulation and implementation. • Manage performance testing as a function across different IT silos.
Skills Required: • Demonstrated ability to manage client expectations, manage projects independently and communicate effectively to senior management. • Experience with all aspects of the application QA lifecycle, including the analysis and review of requirements and specifications, writing test plans, test cases, test scripts, functional testing, performance testing and familiarity of SCM tools. • Working experience in a distributed development background (.NET, JAVA, UNIX, DBMS) and at least 5 years experience leading and managing QA efforts. • Good hands on experience with automation techniques and tools including QTP, LoadRunner TestCenter and TestDirector. • Good concepts of system architecture including the following technologies: ServletExec. .NET, SOAP, Business Intelligence Systems (data warehouse, ETL etc). • Experience in leading and managing performance QA including testing, monitoring, planning for performance scenarios, performance test types, industry benchmarks and performance SLA's. • Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skills Desired: • DBMS concepts. • Experience in XML / Perl / Shell Scripting / C#. • Experience in programming with Excel, Add-in, Macros & VB.
