A New opportunity exists for an experienced Structured Project Financier to be based in Brussels. Join a Global Project / Structured Finance department, to help build its European footprint. Main reference sectors for the team are Infrastructure, Transportation and Natural Resources & Energy (incl. renewables)
The Role
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within this Structured Finance Department at Director level.
You will be based in the Brussels branch, Belgium, and liaise on a daily basis with specialist teams based in London and other European offices.
This excellent opening into project finance that will give you ample opportunity to broaden your knowledge and experience.
One of your main activities in this role will be the execution of mandated lead arranger transactions in the sectors Infrastructure, Transportation and Natural Resources & Energy (incl. renewables).
Duties will include developing and reviewing term sheets, project and financing documents and working on financial models.
You will also be required to provide credit application support which will involve liaising with other departments including, Credit, Syndications, Capital Markets and Loans.
To be successful in this role, ideally a Graduate, you will need a good overall banking background and a strong interest in the target sectors. You will be numerate, have strong Word, Excel, Powerpoint and general systems knowledge, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of GCM would also be beneficial and ideally you bring a network in one or more of the sectors mentioned.
Your skills in these areas will be backed up by your organised and disciplined approach to work, matched with a consistent attention to detail and a keenness to learn on the job.
Most importantly, you ability to work as part of a team, providing support and assistance to other team members, will ensure your effective integration.
The role offers exciting growth opportunities with direct interface with clients, lawyers and project advisers for the whole project life cycle from deal origination, structuring, negotiation of documentation and project due diligence through to financial close.
Fluent Dutch is a must, French, very good command of English, additional eastern or western European languages would be an advantage.
