Assistant Portfolio Manager for Dynamic and expanding Boston-based manager of globally-oriented investment strategies is seeking an experienced Assistant Portfolio Manager to become an integral member on a small team responsible for index portfolios.

Specific responsibilities include the following: Ensuring that all portfolios are managed within their investment objectives, you’ll drive and coordinate the investment process, making sure that client performance targets are met.

Help to calculate trades to take portfolios in line with index or target portfolios and monitor day-to-day cash flows, as well as supporting the portfolio managers by handling administrative issues and any performance queries.

Generate and analyze risk reports using proprietary and vendor-provided management systems.

Position Requirements: 2-3+ Years in a similar position

BA or Masters in mathematics, finance, economics, statistics or engineering, plus some relevant academic or industry work experience. Strong quantitative, accounting or statistical background desired.

CFA or progress towards completion of CFA preferred

A self-motivated team player capable of working well with colleagues across the business, you’ll be confident taking responsibility for all kinds of tasks, processes and projects.

Strong organizational skills, a disciplined approach and above all, the ability to multi-task effectively.

You’ll also need to be a strong communicator, able to explain complex issues to a wide range of audiences.

Results-oriented and happy to apply your knowledge to a practical framework, you’ll be able to maintain the highest standards, even when working to restrictive deadlines.

High level of computer literacy, especially Excel skills
