A new opportunity has arisen for a Confirmations Drafting Manager to manage and supervise the drafting of Commodities OTC Derivative trade confirmations.
The Commodities OTC Derivative trade confirmations group is structured to focus on drafting and dispatching such trade confirmations and it is the responsibility of the manager to ensure these are accurate and issued in a timely manner.
Primary Team’s Duties and Responsibilities:
Paper drafting of Commodities OTC Derivative trade confirmations
Handling queries from both desk counterparts and other internal clients
Project work where there is a requirement for UAT and renovation
Ensuring confirmations are issued quickly within internal and industry benchmarks
Assist in meeting the firm’s obligations with regard to industry targets that are enforced by the regulators.
Job Responsibilities:
Running a team of 4 people, dealing with day-to-day management, along with the objective setting process, appraisals and interviewing
Key liaison person for control issues with front office, client service groups, trade support groups and projects team
Ensure teams reporting targets are met and improved on
Monitor exceptions to ensure these are escalated and resolved in a timely manner
Organise and prioritise workload, whilst ensuring accuracy levels and deadlines are met
Proactive in self training and ability to implement new controls and procedures to improve own role
Ensure controls and procedures are adhered to
Proactive in identifying process improvements
Involvements in projects and testing as required for the various strategic initiatives
Co-ordinating and sponsoring training for the team members
Working with projects team to drive the IT agenda for the group.
Skills required:
Experience within a derivatives operations team
Knowledge of drafting ISDA documentation
Strong man-management with the ability to build and motivate a team
