The successful candidate could come from a Corporate Finance Group in an Accountancy Practice, from a M & A house or be an independant advisor in the Reneawables market.

Working closely with colleagues within the group the Director will be responsible for originating and executing advisory mandates within the international renewable energy sector. The Director will be responsible for leading the group and building the business from its current position to that of the leading renewables advisory team across Europe. We would expect that the right candidate would be ambitious enough to want partnership in due course.

Successful candidates will be self starters and highly motivated individuals who will be effective net workers both internally and within the wider energy and financial community.

Responsibilities

•To originate, execute and close advisory mandates in the international renewable energy market relating to balance sheet restructurings, asset disposals and acquisitions, capital and debt raising and business realignments and partnerships. •Through deal execution, cross-selling and sector networking promote the Company as a leading international advisor to the global energy industry.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidates will have gained experience and knowledge of the international energy sector through working in industry, banking, M&A, consultancy or advisory. In particular they will: •have an established contact list within the renewables sector at the treasurer, finance director and board level; •have good connections amongst the debt and equity providers that finance the international energy sector and be conversant with their appetite for various financing structures; •be able to build, analyse, and interrogate complex financial models; •have a thorough understanding of debt, equity and project finance and the structuring of these products; •be well versed in the various technological, legislative, financial, geographical and political challenges facing the energy sector and the international renewables market in particular; •have strong negotiation and documentation skills; •be able to structure and sell complex financial structure concepts to the industry players and finance community; •have had experience of being responsible for execution and origination of M&A and ECM mandates; •have had exposure to origination and execution of cross border M&A, international capital market offerings.
