Be part of Standard Chartered Financial Markets (FM) FEDS & eCommerce support and projects team based in Dubai. SCB are looking for an experienced Unix/Linux system administrator to complement the existing support and projects teams within ecommerce. To manage, communicate and resolve high severity issues/outages that occur during hours of operation.
Incident management & problem resolution; ensuring businesses are kept informed on the incident status, and ensuring resolution is carried out within the agreed SLAs.
To provide technical support to internal teams/end users
To understand any new business requirements and provide technical input and guidance adhering to best practises.
To proactively monitor and health check the application servers to ensure the availability, stability and performance of ecommerce systems.
To work with, and validate, vendor recommendations relating to hardware/OS/software
To represent PSS team internally from Sysadmin perspective. Review and challenge working practises and recommendations
To assist in new implementations or upgrades to existing applications, including project management, project tracking and project status reporting.
To ensure support procedures are in place and adhere to Group Security & Audit policies.
