Real Estate Private Equity organisation actively targeting investment in Poland and surrounding countries seek both an investment originator and asset manager.
Client
Our client both purchases and manages significant portfolios of office, industrial, logistics and retail real estate on behalf of funds under management in partnership with North American and European investors. Historically their acquisition strategy has been based principally on either opportunistic or value-added strategies. They are currently seeking further investment opportunities in key European markets, in particular the Central European countries.
Role
With active funds to invest with, a major focus is being concentrated on investment activity in the Eastern European area, particularly Poland and surrounding countries. Their strategy is to buy relatively mundane investments and significantly enhance value using asset management skills and the knowledge, expertise and contacts of local staff & partners. They have a very hands on attitude & now seek to hire 1-2 individuals as the investment and asset management business develops strongly. Candidates will need to display an intimate knowledge of the Polish property market, be based in Warsaw already and have extensive contacts within the real estate sector there. The Investment Surveyor will have a clear and demonstrable track record in this region and the Asset Manager be able to run figures, have an analytical approach, be able to assess construction costs (hence either GP or QS will be considered). If more senior, a role my be available which combines all elements of both roles.
Person
Very open minded for the right individuals in terms of level, experience and remuneration but more likely to be of a mid to senior level with a good track record, aspirations / dynamism to work for a private equity organisation, if not already within one. They will need to be able to present well, often in front of banks and clients alike, so a level of gravitas and ability to impress face to face. Polish business fluency is essential.
