This leading global investment bank has an urgent requirement for exotic derivative product specialists who can demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of exotic & hybrid derivative products. This high profile team enjoy an excellent reputation across front office business areas for technical excellence and professionalism. They are responsible for all independent trade reviews for all derivative asset classes - Equity, Funds, FX, Credit, Warrants, IR and Certificates. They look at the entire structure of the exotic derivative trades and ensure all trades economics, pricing factors and pay-off profiles are captured correctly in the product valuation. The team also focus on other risks with respect to booking methologies and modelling weaknesses. There is intense interaction with front office and the team focus on their relationships with the traders, structurers, quants, and various documentation teams. As such the team is required to build up & maintain an excellent understanding of exotic derivative structures and the mechanics and risks behind each exotic trade. As the team cover all exotic derivative asset classes our client is flexible on what specific product knowledge individuals possess. What is essential is strong theoretical or practical knowledge of exotics derivative structures and the ability to interface extensively with front office on a daily basis. Ideally you will have an exotics background gained from a techincal middle office, product control, risk or quantitative background and be looking to be more actively engaged by the business and to develop a better understanding of the markets. A strong educational profile is expected and it is likely you will have a qualification in either a maths, engineering, finance or economics field. You must possess a very strong eye for detail, be resourceful & self motivated and have a very inquisitive and analytical mind set.
