Job description:

US fixed-income manager seeks an analyst to help understand the macroeconomic outlook and monetary policy prospects. The analyst will work with portfolio mangers to identify and dissect important macroeconomic themes.

Responsibilities:

  • Construct PowerPoint presentations on the US economic outlook and monetary policy prospects
  • Analyze US and global economic data and their implications for the fixed-income markets
  • Understand and track private-sector economic forecasts and research
  • Understand and track Central Bank economic forecasts and research
  • Collaborate with global interest rates team on themes
  • Econometric modeling of important data releases
  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years professional work experience in the financial services sector.
  • Working knowledge of the financial markets, with familiarity in fixed income products and investing.
  • Thorough knowledge of BlackRock systems, reporting and database structure, and Excel
  • Demonstrated planning and organization skills and the proven ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to work with challenging situations in a mature manner.
  • Desire to learn about fixed income investing.
  • Successful experience working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; driven to succeed.
