Your Role: As the expert for the markets and links under his/her responsibility, the Network Manager is responsible for the selection, management and development of the Euroclear Bank network of domestic and international securities custodians and agents, direct links, cash correspondents and funds transfer agents under his/her control. As such, in close cooperation with Product Management (acting as sponsor and responsible for prioritisation), Commercial and Business Service Owners, the Network Manager will maintain and enhance existing services, as well as develop and implement new domestic and international market links and securities services. The Network Manager will also share its expertise with and provide support to the rest of the organization (e.g. Product Management, Strategy, Commercial, etc) on market specific and cross market projects, supporting the overall strategy of the Euroclear positioning both on the international and domestic scene. In order to obtain the best quality, the most competitive and risk controlled services, this implies (for new relationships and, on an on-going basis, for existing relationships) : - Information gathering and negotiation of all link specifications, improvements and changes;
- Identification of all risks related to provided services and enhancements and ensure implementation of the necessary controls, respecting Euroclear's Risk Management framework (e.g. Sponsorships);
- Negotiation of all contractual agreements (e.g. Depositary Agreements & SLA's) and detailed service descriptions;
- Pricing negotiations;
- Pro-active performance monitoring through appropriate performance evaluation tools, close coordination with Operations and industry benchmarking;
- Regular contacts (conf calls/due diligence visits) for escalation and problem solving and ensure compliance with service descriptions, check asset protection and safeguard controls;
- Handling the necessary relationships with local authorities (e.g. Central Banks) and market associations where relevant combining cash and securities dimensions at the level of a global relationship with an institution to enhance accountability;
Required travel: Occasional traveling will be required in the context of performance reviews, due diligence visits, etc Your Profile: The ideal candidate has the following profile: - University degree;
- Excellent analytical & communication skills;
- Strong negotiations skills;
- Strong relationship management skills;
- Strong ability to lead initiatives (involving internal and external parties);
- Well organised and result driven;
- Ideally, the candidate will have a successful experience in several operational departments in Euroclear, with some experience in people management, project management or relationship management;
Languages: Fluent in French and English. Knowledge of other languages (e.g. German, Spanish, Italian) definitely a plus.
