Experienced Hybrids Book Manager required for new key role within Deutsche Bank's Transaction Management Group
This is a new position in the Exotics & Hybrids Transaction Management Group (TMG)and will report directly into the Manager of the Team.
The role has been created for several reasons but mainly to increase the capacity and depth of this group in order to improve the delivery, training, development and quality of the team. Therefore the main responsibilities for this role will be to:
•Document Processes that are supported within the group – either individually or delegated •Standardise reporting of PnL & Risk across the group •Introduce new features in a controlled and transparent manner •Provide a disciplined approach to the work so that there are no key person dependencies developed •Accurate and timely reporting of Issues, MIS and New developments •Training and development of staff, including setting objectives and measuring performance •Implementation of continuous change – either global or bespoke as required •Knowledge sharing of Deutsche Bank Analytics and underlying models so that there is an understanding of the parameters that effect the valuation and risk positions, so that the book runner has the ability to converse appropriately with Front Office •New security booking and training so that the whole group are able to action queries that are raised by Front Office and other colleagues •Introduction of new analytic versions across the desk to improve Risk management capabilities of Front Office •Write up specification for new functionality and test as appropriate •Position Analysis – review the Vol calibration runs, weekend scenarios etc in order to understand the key risks in the book
We do not see this individual as being a Book runner on a day to day basis but to be working in conjunction with the team of book runners in order to facilitate the development and implementation of improvements and new functionality across the group. A key responsibility will be the management of the training and new starters in order to reduce the time that it takes a new member of the team to come up to speed. In this we will review with new starters to understand where and how this can be improved.
The measurement of performance of this role will not be on the individuals’ contribution, but to the combined success of the team.
