Leading Financial Services firm located in Weehawken NJ needs a Senior Architect to develop hardware and operating system strategies to provide efficient scalable platforms for applications and infrastructure. Develop and implement metrics to measure progress against program objectives, including performance availability, and total cost of ownership. Contribute to data center strategy and development of technical plans. Participate in communicating progress to IT leaders.
Skill Set/Business Knowledge Deep and broad knowledge of IT distributed hardware and operating system platforms, including Sun Solaris, Red Hat, Linux on Intel/AMD, Windows on Intel/AMD and IBM AIX. Hands on knowledge of platform virtualization products required. Knowledge of IBM z series a plus. Strong technical knowledge of data center issues, including physical infrastructure, power and cooling, site access issues desirable.
Prior experience participating in major data center upgrades and migrations a plus. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills required. Strong project management skills desirable. Financial industry experiences a strong plus.
