One of the world’s leading commodities and oil trading companies is seeking an outstanding quantitative analyst to join an established and formidable team in London. The role requires 1st class academics from a leading institution (MSc or PhD), preferably in a subject such as financial mathematics, as the team you will be working with all have formidable academics and are at the cutting edge of modelling techniques. You also need a demonstrable track record of success as a quant analyst within commodities, particularly oil and have deep understanding of mathematical models. You will be sitting alongside traders and liasing with them on business critical projects, as well as networking within the company to bring new projects to the quantitative analytics team. You therefore must have excellent communication skills and personal presence, as well as your outstanding modelling, quantitative and mathematical skills, which you will be using on a daily basis on new and evolving projects. This team supports models and values physical trading and assets and is a key team within the company.
