Division of leading global investment bank seeks business/operational due diligence analyst to support multi-billion $ hedge fund origination and distribution business. This person will be responsible for business/operational evaluation for current and prospective hedge fund investments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting business and operational due diligence reviews on new and existing hedge fund investments including onsite visits and interviews with senior management of the firm.
  • Evaluation of fund and firm ownership structure, valuation procedures, trade flow and internal controls, disaster recovery procedures, service providers, and compliance environment.
  • Review of all manager and fund specific documentation including due diligence questionnaires, offering documents, regulatory filings, audit reports, etc.
  • Present due diligence findings and recommendations to Alternative Investments Committee via a comprehensive written and verbal report.
  • Supporting the regional sales force through presentations to financial advisors, and current and prospective clients.

    ***Approximately 10% travel***

    Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of the hedge fund industry and financial/operational aspects of managers.
  • Hedge fund due diligence experience as a credit analyst, auditor, or fund of funds analyst - experience reviewing funds, writing reports, and presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • We will also consider someone with direct hedge fund financial or operational experience.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • CPA designation or advanced degree a plus but not required.
