BlackRock Solutions (BRS) offers risk management, financial advisory, technology and investment accounting services and technology infrastructure and support services internally to BlackRock as well as to a variety of large institutional investors. BlackRock Solutions develops software and applications that are used to manage $5.75 trillion in financial assets.

he Relationship Management Group manages the implementations of our services, provides ongoing client support and relationship management, and works on developing new business opportunities.

The Implementations Project Manager/Associate Project Manager will take a lead role in the installation and roll out of Aladdin, BRS’ enterprise investment management platform at major financial institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationship with client’s senior management team (e.g. Chief Investment Officer, Head Portfolio Managers, Chief Technology Officer, Head of Operations)
  • Work with client to create and administer the implementation project plan, coordinating resources across multiple functional areas within BRS
  • Lead and document trade processing and operational workflow design sessions
  • Answer client questions related to the BRS investment management tools, market best practices and basic financial analytics
  • Work closely with client and BRS subject matter experts to oversee technical and interface build out
  • Lead and assist in system configuration, testing and user training
  • Provide demonstrations of BRS risk analytics and trading system tools
  • Participate in BRS business development activities assisting in system validations and diligence meetings with prospective clients
  • Requirements:

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage and lead as well as perform hands-on tasks
  • 4-8 years work experience in the financial services industry. Familiarity with buy-side investment management process a plus
  • Past experience in implementing financial management systems at external clients (trading system, risk system, operation/STP system)
  • Familiarity with capital markets instruments (fixed income, equities, derivatives)
  • Excellent creative, analytical and computer skills with an entrepreneurial approach to large, complex projects
  • Expected to travel 2-3 days per week. Potential for overseas opportunities.
