Job Description:
US-based value focused long/short equity fund with approximately $2B USD under management with offices in NY and London targeting launch of Asian office in Hong Kong by year-end 2008. Seeking bilingual (Japanese/English) analyst with 3-5 years of experience in fundamental analysis (Investment Banking or Private Equity) with strong modeling skills to be based in Hong Kong. Ideal profile is 2nd or 3rd year investment banking analyst or junior private equity associate. Pay commensurate with experience with attractive premium over current compensation. Only those with above qualifications will be considered.
Creating and maintaining computer spreadsheet models, collecting financial data using the Internet and other sources and listening to and summarizing company and brokerage conference calls and meetings
Compiling and presenting information in graphics format, contacting industry and brokerage sources for information, coordinating and maintaining database information, coordinating and editing publications and attending local company presentations as necessary.
Required Skill:
Japanese: Native Level, English: TOEIC 900-
Computer skill (Excel & Word).
Desired:
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance or economics is preferred
CFA certified and experience with electronic services (Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet) is a plus.
