The Department
The EMEA Business Development is a team of marketing professionals with a strong credit and capital markets background. Its primary objective is to promote Moody´s fundamental rating services to unrated bank, corporates, insurance companies, and regional and local governments in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Based on a thorough analysis of the relevant markets and the underlying dynamics, we propose, develop, and execute marketing programmes in a timely and efficient manner. The group Initiates product developments where appropriate and works very closely with the analytic rating groups.
Experience
- Extensive experience within the financial services industry in one of the following areas: Investment banking Banking global and/or local Asset management Origination function Corporate finance working on M&A projects Investment bonds
- Experience within a multi-cultural environment
- Proven experience in working to tight deadlines and negotiating commercial terms
- Understands the role of ratings agencies in capital markets
- Able to demonstrate good market knowledge to capture and expand the business
- Strong client facing skills with the ability to negotiate successful outcomes
- Exposure to sales environments would be highly beneficial
Qualifications - Strong academic background degree in a Mathematical, Economic or Business subject.
- Relevant professional qualification (eg CFA) would be desirable.

- Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical capacity. Well developed IT skills including advance Excel and PowerPoint.
