Description: -Co-ordinate the day-to-day activity of the EMEA collections function/team, managing five members of staff. -Collect monies directly from clients and manage a key value portfolio -Hold weekly review with the collections team to identify problem accounts and provide guidance and support where necessary -Chair monthly team meetings to discuss high level collection issues and provide feedback to staff -Co-ordinate escalation process of problem accounts to Global Receivables Manager and line of business management. -Attend weekly meetings with manager to compare aged receivable metrics against team objectives and discuss solutions to any issues that impact the objectives and prioritise workflow accordingly -Attend monthly interdepartmental meetings with Issuer Relations to discuss progress pending issues preventing collection -Co-ordinate the initial stages of the refund process liaising with the treasury department periodically -Chair weekly meetings with the Cash Application department to discuss progress with cash application queries -Hold bi-annual performance evaluations for all team members and set objectives for the forthcoming year. -Attend interview meetings with manager to assess potential candidates for collection associate positions when vacant positions become available. Qualifications: -Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience in a corporate environment -Minimum of three years experience within a collections function. Five years preferable but not essential. -Intermediate Excel skills essential.
