BlackRock Solutions offers risk management, financial advisory, technology and investment accounting services and technology infrastructure and support services internally to BlackRock as well as to a variety of large financial Institutions

BlackRock Solutions (BRS) Product Delivery is responsible for implementing Aladdin functionality and services to both new and existing clients. In addition, the Delivery staff partners with Development teams to package the product. Packaging includes: help design, test and document new components essential to the further development of the Aladdin products. By assuming the role of subject matter expert for specific Aladdin processes, the team also provides comprehensive demonstrations and training to the various clients.

Role Description:

  • Responsibility as the subject matter expert (SME) for trade processing and confirmation processes, which reside within the BRS Aladdin suite of applications, along with an associated straight through processing understanding.
  • Provide Packaging and Marketing for new/enhanced features related to trade processing and confirmation including Release Notes, User Guides, Client Presentations, etc.
  • Deliver new/enhanced functionality to internal/external clients by providing demonstrations, as well as interactive training sessions. \
  • Act as the trade and confirmation subject matter expert (SME) resource, for Business Development teams, providing full details regarding Aladdin’s processing capabilities, as well as pertinent industry knowledge.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the packaging and delivery of trade processing and confirmation Aladdin functionality (or services). Act as the SME by executing training and new product rollout to both BlackRock and external clients.
  • Responsibility for maintaining key Aladdin documentation (e.g. user guides, release notes, client presentations) related to the assigned Aladdin applications (or services)
  • Partner with the Client Relationship Management teams to fully understand the various needs of clients related to trade processing and confirmation business functions
  • Interface with development teams to enhance Aladdin tools and processes to support business functions and requirements
  • Skills and Qualifications:

    Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in economics, finance, or engineering
  • 4+ Years of Financial Services industry specifically related to Project Analysis/Management in regards to trade order management and execution
  • Junior project management experience a plus.
  • Understanding of the Order Management, Trading, Confirmation and settlement business processes. Knowledge of SWIFT would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity of various products such as Equities, Derivatives and Fixed Income.
  • External client facing and training experience
  • Some technical experience such as writing SQL queries desired.
  • Professional Skills:

  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer focused interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and on several assignments simultaneously
  • Team player that is well organized and has a strong attention to detail
  • Project Management experience, including comprehensive understanding of the project development lifecycle
