Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, International Marketing, you will be responsible for designing, launching and managing all web sites that serve E*TRADE prospects and existing clients in EMEA and ensuring that the on-line customer experience is world class.
As part of our central International Marketing team in London, supporting the development of our online brokerage activities and financial services in Europe and Middle East, we are seeking a Web Project Manager
The successful candidate will be a dedicated, motivated web professional with experience in coordinating large, successful commercial websites.
The individual should have a full understanding of e-commerce and how it fits into the overall company strategy, and be fully conversant with the latest web technologies, analytics and online marketing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Full development lifecycle from concept and signoff to release. Production and project management of business requirements & functional specifications and updates for the web sites
Co-ordination of team workload across creative, technical, data and marketing functions. To include liaison with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget Assist QA in the preparation of test plans and test cases for retail projects
Track and report project progress, gather data from multiple sources, Manage several concurrent projects, create project schedules and update status reports
Work with other departments to resolve issues if they occur and work with stakeholders to drive coordinate and monitor completion of project tasks.
Analysis of customer behavior and production of comprehensive business reports outlining website performance Conduct research and business analysis for both new and existing web products
Serves as a content review specialist by maintaining the consistency of written copy for company web products and setting editorial style. Undertakes HTML editing and proofreading web pages.
Co-ordination of domain registration/renewals, hosting, site performance and other technical duties where necessary
Due to the continual change in the online environment, this list is by no means exhaustive and the successful candidate will be required to stay up-to-date with all e-commerce, usability and accessibility issues as required.
Essential Technical Skills/Experience:
A broad web, design and user experience background is required to fulfill this role in addition to an understanding of other elements in the marketing mix. In addition strong experience in online tools and transactions, information architecture as well as supplier and stakeholder management are also required.
You should have strong opinions about what customers want and the way web products should work and can back up your opinions with data and clear well-structured cases.
Have a record of establishing credibility with technical leaders as well as commercial and editorial leaders.
Strong numerical, analytical and verbal skills; quick thinker and clear communicator.
Proven ability to have had ownership and successful online business planning. It is important to demonstrate how plans have worked in an integrated manner with other areas of the business.
Knowledge of traffic analysis tools and online campaign management tools.
Good command of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques. Strong design, usability and web technical background.
Proven experience of delivering interactive tools and defining/understanding customer journeys.
Business analysis skills required to interpret and propose specific customer experiences on transactions.
Ability to communicate effectively with policy, senior management and technical staff.
Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and have an open cultural approach to colleagues located in other geographies.
Excellent interpersonal skills as this role requires an individual who will need to liaise with all levels of the organization and different personalities whilst being able to take a commercial and pragmatic approach when dealing with issues.
Work autonomously with business areas but also be able to contribute effectively and operate as part of a busy team
Be able to perform under pressure and to tight deadlines
The ideal candidate will combine strong marketing skills with a passion for building strong customer relationships online.
You will be proficient in the technical aspects of web development and knowledge, including web 2.0, social networking and community development.
A good knowledge of CSS and HTML is required, together with the ability to be able to take ownership for multiple tasks and work well under pressure within a small team environment.
Desirable Skills
Any experience launching successful new lead and retail account capture web products in consumer finance internet sector would be very useful, as would global product development.
An excellent command of English is required, a second modern European language would be advantageous (Spanish, Italian, German, French) #
