What you will do:

• Carrying out detailed research on industry trends and changes in the competitive environment across these industries

• Maintaining and developing databases covering financial metrics, earnings etc, operating metrics in these areas

• Preparing models for use in research reports on a variety of topics

• Writing detailed and thought provoking research with both an eye to the short term view as well as the longer-term drivers of value,

• Dealing with company results. This would typically entail giving a "first glance" opinion, writing an initial post-results comment and talking through the results with the sales desk.

• Liaising with company management to keep abreast of any developments,

• Liaising with the sales desk and market maker to inform them of any developments that may affect the company's share price

• Attending and reporting on Industry related seminars and

Candidate Profile:

• Three to fives years' experience in equity research either buy or sell-side

• A proven track record in specialist sector

• An understanding of the investment process

• Excellent written verbal presentation and financial modelling skill

• Direct experience in capital markets on either the buy or the sell-side

• In depth understanding of the financial statements of specialist sector companies

• Proficiency with relevant research tools

• CFA or progress towards CFA Strong academic qualifications

• Success oriented, highly motivated equity research analysts with strong interpersonal skills
