Top City Brokerage specialising in Spread Betting on the financial markets (Bonds, Indices, Commodities & Shares) require an experienced C.O.O to lead their growth aspirations and run their lucrative operations.
The Client: One of the fastest growing Financial Spread Betting companies in London, the firm have seen double digit growth in the last 3 years. Priding themselves on superior customer service, advice and an excellent trading platform, they anticipate continued growth as the market continues to mature.
The Role: Due to the rapid growth of the business, the firm are looking to bring in an experienced Operations Officer to run the day to day trading and finance operations of the business. You will be deeply involved in defining and implementing the Board's strategy for growth,through a continued investment in cutting edge technology, a defined marketing strategy and enhancing the performance of the business in all areas.
You will report directly to the Board and have a great deal of autonomy in running the business. Therefore this role is for an individual who can lead from the front and have the strength of character to manage an exceptionally busy trading floor.
You will have complete control of the finance function for the business inclusive of compliance and liaison with the FSA. You will have a senior management team of 6 reporting to you and a total staff of over 50.
The Candidate:
5 years (minimum)operations experience in a trading environment.(Banking, Brokerage, Derivatives House or from a competing Spread Betting firm.
Accounting Qualification or Post Graduate Degree in a Finance field.
Excellent leadership qualities and people management capabilities.
A passion for the financial markets and insightful commercial awareness.
Creative and influential approach to bringing in new ideas and the ability to implement change.
