One of New Zealand’s major corporates has an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Treasury Accountant to join their team in Auckland.

Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for accounting for a range of treasury instruments as well as financial and management reporting requirements for the treasury function and providing decision support analysis where required.

Specific tasks will include the following:

• Calculation and analysis of group FX gains and losses and associated reporting
• Treasury compliance reporting
• IFRS reporting
• Inter-company accounting
• Month end balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reporting, month end bank reconciliations
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Processing of withholding tax costs, debtors hedging reports etc

The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in a bank or a large corporate treasury with indepth knowledge of technical aspects of IFRS for hedge accounting and a strong systems knowledge exposure. We seek a team player with excellent relationship skills who can work closely with the Dealers and contribute to the success of this high profile Treasury team.
