Operations Relationship Manager, Programme Management, Technology, Structured Products, FX Options, Equity Derivatives, Structured Rates, Structured Credit. Responsible for building and maintaining a proactive and strong relationship with business users across all areas of the business, but specifically with Derivatives Operations.
The successful candidate will join the team within a major Investment Bank based in Hong Kong. As Relationship Manager of Derivatives IT Operations in Asia Pacific and a member of the global Derivative Operations IT management team you will be responsible for managing all aspects of delivery and support of Derivative Operations technology around the region.
The department is currently undertaking a series of strategic initiatives centred around a new derivatives global back office solution, based on the Calypso system. This will replace all legacy derivative back office systems globally. As part of the Asia Pacific IT Management team you will be expected to bring a strong ethos of structure and process in fulfilling this function ensuring that there is a full end to end focus to delivery.
As Relationship Manager you will be responsible for building and maintaining a proactive and strong relationship with business users across all areas of the business, but specifically with Derivatives Operations. This will involve ensuring local requirements are managed in line with global initiatives and managing expectations. You will also manage the local IT Operations budget and be responsible for ensuring that costs/billing are transparent and signed off by the business.
Essential previous experience includes a proven track record of Relationship or Programme Management within the Structured Products arena, a proven track record of successful Project Management of global technology projects within the Derivatives arena, from initiation through to post-implementation support, and including data conversion from old to new system. Further to this you will also have gained significant experience working within a large Global change program. Derivative Operations being the primary focus, but must also have a good understanding of other business groups that would interact with Operations i.e. Trading, middle Office and Product Control. Good derivatives business knowledge, ideally with a deep knowledge of the FX Option, Equity Derivatives, Structured Rates and Structured Credit asset classes (vanilla and structured) is also a pre-requisite.
