My client is an international Private Equity company which has made billions of dollars worth of investments across a variety of investment portfolios in recent years. They are now looking to further add to the UK Investment team.
THE CLIENT
With an exceptional fund performance, this independent business has enjoyed strong organic growth. Coverage in the UK includes both Europe and the Americas with occasional Asian involvement, making investments on behalf of both institutional and corporate clients. The London team is made up of a broad range of outstanding investment professionals with backgrounds from large blue chips to internationally renowned Investment Banks.
THE ROLE
Due to the increased work load in Europe the business is looking to recruit a further Investment Analyst to the UK team. As a member of the deal team you will perform analysis a broad range of investment opportunities which will include but by no means be limited to the following:
Initial review of investment opportunities
Attendance of due diligence meetings with General Partners including on-site visits
Review and organization of data for investment analysis, performing appropriate quantitative analysis on the General Partner’s investment record Financial analysis and valuation of portfolio companies
Maintenance of databases & files to support the investment process
Assistance in preparation of investment analysis reports
THE CANDIDATE
Due to the very high calibre of the team, the business has understandably high expectations of new recruits. As a bare minimum you will be able to demonstrate the following.
A very strong academic history
1 to 2 years relevant experience in blue-chip environment: accountancy, banking, asset management or similar
Confident communicator at all levels
Excellent understanding of accountancy and financial analysis
Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications
Personable and presentable; ability to establish great relationships with clients and co-workers
Looking for long term career opportunity within private equity
