Santa Barbara hedge fund seeks an international equity research analyst to conduct bottom-up fundamental research on foreign mid and large cap companies within the context of our investment framework.
The analyst will be a generalist working with a small investment team led by the portfolio manager on a number of new products. This is an opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of the new strategies and grow with the organization. While immediate responsibilities are centered on the stock selection and company analysis, future responsibilities may include marketing and portfolio management.
Requirements:
Three to six years of investment experience as a fundamental international equity research analyst is required. Buy-side experience is preferred (either an investment firm or a long-term- oriented hedge fund). The candidate will have to demonstrate strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial modeling and scenario analysis. In-depth understanding of the financial statements analysis is a must. Knowledge of multiple industries vs. single-industry specialization is preferred. The candidate will have to possess the highest ethical standards and be adept to work in a dynamic and an entrepreneurial environment. Knowledge of foreign languages and cultures is a plus.
An MBA with a concentration in Finance / Accounting is required. A CFA chart holder or work towards a CFA designation is preferred.
