An established China Fund Management House is now seeking for a head of institution sales to expand their business in the global market.
Our client is a major player in the China fund management market with about 200 billion RMB of asset under management from mutual funds and institutional account. It has emerged as a well-recognized brand name among investors with their performance. Along with their focus on providing investor with quality service, they offer investors various investment products along the risk spectrum with different risk/return tradeoff to meet clients’ investment needs. With continuous growth, they are now seeking for a head of institution sales to expand their business in the global market.
Based in Hong Kong, you will be leading the international business team with a focus on the US and European market. You will develop and maintain relationships with global institutional investors such as pension, foundation and endowment funds. Major responsibilities for the role include: lead the team and market the firm’s investment management services/ products to target investors; identify and cultivate prospects and clients, initiate and follow up on new business opportunities, lead new business meetings and close sales to institutional accounts; provide market feedback regarding perception about the firm and products; and assist in developing and launching new products.
To qualify, you will be a degree holder, having a CFA/MBA or equivalent certification with at least 8 years of sales experience in a fund house with a focus on the US and Europe institutional clients. Excellent understanding of the fund industry and investment business with strong product knowledge is a prerequisite. Experience in marketing emerging market equity products would be an advantage. You will be willing to travel frequently, fluency in English and Mandarin a must.
