Hamilton Lane is an independent financial institution that provides discretionary and non-discretionary asset management services in private equity investments. Founded in 1991, Hamilton Lane has over 100 private equity employees operating out of offices in Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, London, Tel Aviv, Tokyo and Singapore. With a client base comprising pension funds, endowments and other institutional investors,we have over $10 billion in private equity assets under management along with the oversight of an additional $80 billion in advisory assets.

To satisfy the needs of our growing client base, Hamilton Lane is looking to hire additional Analysts to join our Fund Investment Team in Philadelphia. The Fund Investment team annually reviews hundreds of primary fund investment opportunities in search of the best funds and managers in private equity. We cover primary partnership investments across all sub-asset classes including corporate finance/buyout, venture capital, mezzanine, distressed debt, and industry focused funds across all geographic regions.

Essential Duties:

• The screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities
• Work as part of a team to develop investment decisions regarding private equity funds, including performing quantitative analysis on fund managers investment performance; and preparing written investment recommendations for the firms investment committee
• Analysis relating to the creation of value-added private equity research reports on such topics as: i) the monitoring of existing investments; ii) general trends in private equity; and iii) specific investment strategies.

Necessary Qualifications:

• BA/BS required (Economics, Accounting, Business or Finance preferred).
• Minimum of one-year experience in finance, investment banking, financial consulting, equity research or private equity is required.
• Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of Word and Excel (modeling skills required) and the ability to conduct research;
• Must have strong written and oral communications skills;
• Must be proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate initiative;
• Must be able to complete projects on time and accurately and be able to multi-task.
• Candidate must have a strong work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance.
• Willingness to work 55 + hour week, some travel required (10%)
