Description of Group: BlackRock’s US Retail Marketing team is a key part of the firm’s global retail distribution channel. The US Retail Group’s approximately 400 professionals including sales, marketing, business analytics and product development experts are responsible for over $300 billion in assets. Marketing team-members take a leadership role in developing US Retail strategy in partnership with business & sales management. Additionally, the Marketing team is responsible for positioning products, developing marketing campaigns & supporting new business opportunities. Description The US Retail business is looking for an experienced strategic marketing professional to join the team as a Vice President. This individual will participate in all aspects of marketing, from strategic business planning & research to launching new products and managing campaigns. Additionally, this is a role in one of the greatest growth opportunities for the firm. This position demands excellent written & oral communication skills; creative problem solving and an equal mix of quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills are a necessity as Vice Presidents have exposure to many teams within BlackRock including regular interaction with executive management, sales professionals, product managers, clients and investment professionals. Overall, the US Retail Marketing team offers a unique opportunity to participate in one of the industry’s largest retail asset management platforms. Responsibilities Develop marketing strategies and tactics to drive net sales of the firm’s core products; mutual funds, packaged products and platform products Work closely with sales management to create relevant, differentiated sales campaigns that position BlackRock among Financial Advisors. Package and deliver in-depth product analysis across BlackRock open end fund product offerings and competitive funds Oversee the planning, design, architecture & execution of mutual fund and platform marketing materials. Generate timely sales ideas, capture and deliver broker-dealer best practices and participate in the development of value added tools for Financial Advisors Analyze and interpret sales data to identify new growth opportunities and methods to defend current asset base. Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years experience in the Financial Services industry. The most suitable candidates will have experience with an asset management firm selling into the broker dealer channel. A deep knowledge of asset management products is important.
