Man Group are looking to recruit an Investment Analyst to support our regional offices and marketing departments through responding to quantitative queries posted to the team mailbox.

The Investment Analysis department are responsible for the technical content – both written and statistical – of company marketing and performance reporting materials supplied to more than 40,000 clients globally. This involves analysing the movements of financial markets, the returns of hedge funds and the production of qualitative and quantitative performance information.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join the Performance Analysis unit within Investment Analysis. The core function of this role is to support our regional offices and marketing departments through responding to quantitative queries posted to the team mailbox.

Training will involve learning to:

  • provide additional support and explanations to the sales team in relation to statistical and other quantitative aspects of the MI product range
  • create and update the technical, statistical and graphical content of relevant marketing and reporting materials
  • assist with the management of internal database systems
  • manipulate product and benchmark data
  • coordinate and track requests sent to department mailbox

Requirements

We are looking to recruit someone who:

  • demonstrates high attention to detail
  • can manage their own workload and is resilient to pressure
  • has strong numerical, research and organisation skills
  • works well in a team environment

The role would suit a graduate in a numerate or business-related discipline, whose studies have enabled him or her to develop strong numerical skills. Equally important is a strong interest in the financial industry gained from 1-2 years experience in a relevant role.
