Global Investment Bank is recruiting for an Associate position in the Market Risk Department.

Global Investment Bank is looking to add an Associate/Analyst position in the Market Risk Department. The candidate will primarily be involved in the preparation of the Firmwide market scenario analysis. In general, the position functions on knowing and understanding market risk representation and risk methodologies.

The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn and excel in a dynamic and stimulating work environment. The candidate should have a good education in quantitative and analytical disciplines, with strong problem-solving skills. Fluency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and a familiarity with financial instruments are required. The candidate should have some experience with a programming language such as Visual Basic and familiarity with SQL database queries as well. Training in computer science or engineering fields is considered a plus. Good writing and oral presentation skills are desired. An understanding of risk management measurement methodologies such as risk greeks, Value-at-Risk (VaR) and scenario analysis are very much preferred.

Core Responsibilities: Prepare scenario analysis and other management reports; Understand and assess reliability and integrity of risk data used in scenario analysis; Participate in the implementation of a new IT infrastructure for scenario analysis Qualifications: Good training in quantitative and analytical disciplines; Strong problem-solving and implementation abilities; Knowledge of various financial instruments; Knowledge of market risk measurement methodologies such as risk greeks, VaR and Scenario Analysis preferred; Fluency in MS Excel; experience with VBA and
